Geeks trip episode 2: The beggining.

Recap: geeks go to Vegas. geeks have phun. geeks go on rides above Las Vegas. geeks leave Vegas to go to The Grand Canyon.
The road:

So there we were. Driving through the middle of nowhere, hoping that we'll get in time for our helicopter ride. Boring boring boring ....

At some point we got to the Grand Canyon Village the place where the small airport from where the Papillon tours start. We had something to eat and while we were in the small dinner something unexpected happened: it started raining. I say unexpected because of the arid climate that is specific to the dessert.
The worse part about the rain is that all flights were grounded on account of the weather ( lighting and stuff). So we were not able to do the helicopter tour.

We made reservations for the following day, which was a little risky because we planned a long hike in the canyon, but we decided that we could always cancel the reservation in case the hike took longer than expected.
On the way to the hotel we stopped in a store to get some food, water, beer for that night and the next day. We bought lots of water. We must have bought 6-7 liters each.
As we were driving to the hotel, one of us looked out the window and noticed that we could see the canyon so we stopped an took a few pictures. Here they are:

Those are a couple of mine( i took fewer because i had my 70-300 VR on and the ......ehh who am i kidding.. you don't care about that ), and here are some that mircea took ..... mircea is better at this than I am.

I believe I can fly ....

The next pictures were taken by me using mirceas' camera. :d
As you can see there is no place where you can't play a little game of "barbut" and have a beer.

Btw: They were fooling around ...nobody was drinking or playing nothing :D

Then we went to our hotel and played some cards, talked for a while and then we went to sleep....or at least some of us.

Well .....cya tomorrow for the conclusion of our adventure.
