Pandora rulz

Thanks to one of the romanian interns @ google I remembered Pandora.
Some time ago they stopped broadcasting worldwide and they only do it now in America.

So after a long time I started listening to my old stations, especially to the "Johnny Cash" and "Ac/DC". If case you don't know Pandora is an online radio station which uses The Genome Project( a project that involved music specialist that analyzed different songs finding the common elements. The nice thing about Pandora is that given a certain artist or song it will randomly choose for you other artists and songs that match some criteria.

This are my latest obsessions:

Listen to this one ...especially from minute 6. I like how the crowd started singing. It reminded me of that video when Chelsea fans sang "You'll never walk alone".

And an AC/DC:

There is one more song that i couldn't find on youtube or any other place:
Tony Bennett - I've thought about you.
This one could be the soundtrack of this day ...and a lot of days before....

Later edit: And tx to Cosmin I heard the following song. I wonder how it would sound if Johnny Cash had the time so record it before he passed away ( the song was originally meant for him):

San Francisco

If you're going to San Francisco....you'd better bring some warm clothes.
It's a cold and windy city, especially on the ocean side (near Fisherman's Wharf). Although the scenery is beautiful, I don't know if I could live in SF. It's too damn cold for my taste.

Yesterday as we didn't have a lot of options we thought that visiting San Francisco would be a great idea.
As we don't have a car we took the Cal Train and after an hour and 20 mins we arrived in SF.
Once arrived we found out that we had no idea what to visit and where to go so we spent another hour or so figuring out the directions and the various things to do.
We ended up deciding to go to the Fisherman's Wharf.
On the bus we were fortunate to find some ppl that were locals and they've pointed to us some places that we should visit.

Once we arrived @ the Fisherman's we ate one of the most popular local dishes: "clam chowder served in a bowl of sourdough bread". Then we started looking around at some of the stores we had seen during the "Scavenger Hunt". We purchased some postal cards to send @ home and we found a couple of photographic stores. The funny thing was that we could buy a D200 from those stores in the 800-900 price range. Which as ...at least one of you ... knows is quite unbelievable (the d200 costs ~2000). I think that all those were either refurbished or something fishy is going on.

Then we took a cable car which left us near the cable car museum. The cable car system in SF is very very interesting.
The feeling that you have when riding one of those in SF resembles the feelings you get in a rollercoaster(As you might know San Francisco is built on a series of hills).
We also visited the Cable Car museum and we saw the motors that power the system(the cars don't have engines they just use the cables to move at a top speed o 9.5 mph).

From there we went to ChinaTown. It's like walking into another city. On the narrow streets you can't see the big skyscrappers, and looking at the arhitecture, shops and all the other stuff that surrounds you, you really feel like you are in an asian city.

The last things that we saw in SF were 2 streets were there are a lot of shops (famous brands and stuff), where we entered an Apple shop :-o. ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG I want an apple. In that area we also had dinner in an Irish pub(pretty good and kinda' cheap).

When we finished our dinner it was already late so we went to the CalTrain station and got back to MV.
Next time in SF we'll do a lot of shopping.

The pictures(Vlad i think there is a problem with the software that I'm using to resize the jpegs :(. It uses a stupid filter and the pics loose a lot of their quality.):
